指在澳洲東南部，面積約7萬平方公里的塔斯馬尼亞島上飼養的美麗諾羊所產的羊毛。
塔斯馬尼亞在豐富的自然環境中培育出優質羊群，享譽盛名。
普遍具有優異的白度、良好的強度，並能產出大量極細支數羊毛（超細美麗諾羊毛）。
塔斯馬尼亞羊毛的產量僅佔澳洲總羊毛產量的約3%，極為稀有，且飼養管理極為嚴格。
