創立於1784年，在英國德比郡馬特洛克的利米爾斯(Lea Mills)成立的針織服飾品牌。JOHN SMEDLEY先生對材料的堅持，例如春夏季的海島棉（Sea Island Cotton）和秋冬季的美麗諾羊毛。其以30針輕巧且編織細密的針織衫聞名，其中對精緻度要求較高的部位，如衣身等，皆以手工製作。此外，對於包括所使用的水在內的後加工處理也十分講究，致力於生產觸感柔軟、穿著舒適的針織衫。由於其高品質，也為許多知名時裝品牌製作針織服飾。
