＜DEVO（디보）＞
1973년, 오하이오주 아크론에서 마크와 제리의 두 멤버가 결성한 록 밴드입니다.
세탁기를 무대에 가져오는 등 아방가르드한 퍼포먼스로 인디 시절부터 높은 인지도를 얻었습니다.
1978년 메이저 데뷔를 하였고, 같은 해 데뷔 앨범 『퇴폐적 미학론』을 발매했습니다.
이듬해에는 두 번째 앨범 『생존학 미래편』을 발표하고 첫 일본 공연도 성사되었습니다.
뉴웨이브 계열 아티스트로는 처음으로 일본 부도칸 공연을 가졌으며, 공연 모습은 일주일간 TV로 방영되어 일본 전역에 DEVO 열풍을 일으켰습니다.
그 후에도 월드 투어의 시작점으로 일본을 선택하는 등, 일본에서 수많은 열광적인 팬을 확보했습니다.
1990년 여덟 번째 앨범 발표 후 활동이 중단되었지만, 2003년 23년 만의 일본 공연을 실시했습니다.
2010년에는 약 20년 만의 오리지널 앨범 『Something for Everybody』를 발매했습니다.
현재까지도 활발하게 활동을 이어가는 전설적인 아티스트입니다.
