Unlike the vibrant overglaze enamel of traditional Kutani ware, this design emphasizes the inherent presence of the clay itself.
Its convenient size makes it ideal for use as a side dish plate, appetizer plate, or dessert plate. It naturally blends into everyday dining, whether for Japanese or Western cuisine.

Both the body and glaze use Hanasaka pottery stone.
The glaze utilizes repurposed pottery stone, which is typically removed as an impurity during the clay preparation process,
resulting in a soft, calming beige color.
Its appeal lies in the distinctive HANASAKA texture, which cherishes the individuality of the material.

HANASAKA is a ceramics brand launched by Taniguchi Seidojo, which has historically produced the clay for Kutani ware.
Unlike the ornate overglaze enamel represented by the Kutani Gosai (five traditional Kutani colors), HANASAKA focuses on craftsmanship that highlights the clay itself.
By revisiting the materials and processes that have supported Kutani ware, HANASAKA proposes the inherent expression and functional beauty of clay as contemporary tableware.
