A teacup by JINSUI, based in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture.
Inheriting the lineage of a kiln established in the Edo period, and set against the tradition of Tokoname ware, it is crafted with a presence that naturally blends into modern life.
With the worldview of the "TOKI" series, its simple and calming design gently creates a tea time referred to as "Tokiwasure" (time-forgetting).
When used in combination with a teapot and a cooling pitcher, it creates a unified set of tea ware.
It accommodates a wide range of teas, including Japanese tea, Chinese tea, and herbal teas, making it versatile for daily use and when entertaining guests.

Each piece is carefully handcrafted from Tokoname clay by artisans who have inherited the tradition of teapot making.
Including the expression and texture of the glaze, it is finished to allow you to feel its character with every use.
