Daisuke Takaomi
Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1973.
Graduated from Tokyo Glass Art Institute, Research Course in 2000.
Established 'gla_gla' in Tsukiura, Toyako Town, Hokkaido in 2002.
Since then, he has engaged in a wide range of activities, including exhibitions and outdoor installations both domestically and internationally, collaborations with architects, and providing works for corporations and video productions.
His distinctive style features clear, colorless glass, individually crafted using the 'chu-buki' (free-blowing) technique, which involves shaping molten glass in the air without molds.
The narrative that emerges between the title and the glass itself is the core of his work.
