Designer Junya Kawakami spent half of his twenties in San Francisco, where he was influenced by the diverse and free strength of various races he encountered during his days visiting vintage clothing warehouses.
After returning to Japan, he gradually began to create his own EXTERIOR works based on those experiences, and the designs that incorporated the free personalities of the people he met at that time eventually established themselves as SEVEN BY SEVEN (the local nickname).SEVEN BY SEVEN
The loosely styled TIE look is also reflective of the San Francisco vibe, and the toughness of workwear embodies a rustic beauty.
