<HANASAKA> Soup Bowl S

A lightweight and easy-to-use soup bowl that highlights the natural texture of the soil.

This soup bowl measures approximately 14cm in diameter.
It features a simple, unadorned design with a matte finish.
Taking a different approach from the vibrant, colorful designs typically associated with Kutani ware, this piece is crafted to enhance the food itself.
Its versatile size is perfect for soups, side dishes, yogurt, or desserts, blending seamlessly into any everyday dining setting, whether Japanese or Western.

Both the body and glaze are made from Hanasaka porcelain stone.
Materials generated during the Kutani ware clay production process, including porcelain stone normally discarded as impurities, are repurposed as raw materials for the glaze.
The soft, beautiful beige color celebrates the inherent character and natural expression of the soil.

<HANASAKA>
HANASAKA is a ceramics brand launched by Taniguchi Seitojo, a manufacturer that has historically produced clay for Kutani ware.
Unlike the vivid, colorful glazes exemplified by the Kutani Gosai (five Kutani colors), HANASAKA focuses its craftsmanship on the earth itself.
Revisiting the materials and processes that have supported Kutani ware, the brand proposes the natural expressions and functional beauty of clay as contemporary tableware.
