Artist Profile
Daisuke Takaomi
Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1973.
Completed the research course at Tokyo Glass Art Institute in 2000.
Established "gla_gla" in Tsukidomari, Toyako Town, Hokkaido in 2002.
Since then, he has continued diverse activities, including domestic and international exhibitions, outdoor installations, collaborations with architects, and providing works for companies and video productions.
A distinctive feature is the colorless and transparent glass, meticulously crafted one by one using the "chu-buki" (free-blowing) technique, where molten glass is shaped in mid-air without molds.
The narrative that emerges between the title and the glass itself is the core of his artistic work.
