The Fern series uses intricate embroidery techniques to express the beauty of transparency.
■Design
An embroidered dress with powerful beauty.
The embroidery, an artistic style known as "Chikankari," is done entirely by hand, using needles and threads with great skill.
For the chikankari design, I chose floral designs.
After being tailored into the shape of the garment, each piece is hand-squeezed to ensure a loose fit but a slim silhouette.
*The vertical wrinkles that form when you wring the garment by hand will gradually disappear with repeated wearing and washing.
You can make the wrinkles stronger again by twisting the garment and hanging it up to dry, so please try it out to your liking.
■Material
It is made from a traditional Indian material called "Chanderi".
The thin, loosely woven cotton material unique to India is combined with the supple luster of silk to create a unique look.
■ Coordination
It can be worn as a dress on its own, or you can omit the inner dress and pair it with slim leggings or bottoms.
