This project is uniquely directed by art director Naito Iron Ya, incorporating works created by him into clothing and printed materials.
"Rare metal means 'a small amount of existence in the crust.'IronMetal My collage progresses by creating invisible layers, applying multiple layers until it reaches a completion that can be seen. The scenes I want to capture in that process become Naito's photographic works. It is like a situational photograph measured and taken during an excavation process, something that becomes buried and invisible, yet for me, it is a poignant image or part. I feel that the way that image exists connects to 'rare metal,' which is why I named the project as such."
Graphics based on photographs from his own archive have been incorporated into the apparel, and those photographs are images captured from the collage work using macro LENS .
