A Katakuchi Sake Server Where Beautiful Form Embodies Profound Meaning

This katakuchi sake server has been meticulously designed with a form and size that perfectly suits its intended purpose.
The craftsmanship is evident from its overall presence down to the finest details, not only achieving visual beauty but also ensuring it feels natural in hand during actions like pouring and holding.
Rooted in the philosophy that “the true essence of beauty in objects lies in their form,”
it inherently possesses purpose and meaning for its use.
This particular work is by acclaimed metal artist Taiki Sugishima.
His creative process, which involves identifying the ideal form for a function and selecting only essential steps, manifests as a serene presence in the vessel.
Beyond serving as a traditional sake pitcher, it also excels as a serving dish for food or a sophisticated accent piece for any interior.
Its versatility makes it suitable for various occasions, from daily evening drinks to special moments when you desire a touch of elegance.
Crafted from copper, the interior is thoughtfully tin-plated.
This finish is designed for daily use, expertly leveraging the natural properties of the material.
